You could not have arrived where you are today without a plan. And if you did not make the plan, you followed someone else's. 

Now that you have begun your exchange year, it is up to you to make it what it will be.  You can not sit around and wait for someone to do it for you.  You must choose for yourself to decide to make your year great!

There are 7 key areas that need work to make your year great. Think about June of the next year and what would truly make you proud of yourself. Push yourself, and be honest. Choose 2 specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely goals in each area. 

The choice is yours.

Once you've set your goals, it's time to take action.  It doesn't have to be massive action in one day - though there are times when that is a great idea. However, slow and steady, consistent work daily or weekly will provide results that are commendable and recognizable.

The key to having a great year is to have goals that you want to achieve and work on them.  Little by little you will see progress. And as the time passes, you will either look at where you are with great pride at your progress, or look at the time that has passed with regret.
